Dear BD Moderators & Administrators,It has come to Ponk's and I my selves attention that your moderator ranking system is unorganized. Ponk and I have discussed this on MSN and we have come to believe that your mods are being ranked somewhat unfairly.
I've noticed that some of the mods have last posted months ago, including Sanjaccat, Do or die, and PrinceKhaled. Also, Kenny ragequit and still has his position as Sr. Mod. If you search Guarav1's posts, you'll see that on the first page, there is a post from July. I have a list of their dates here.

As you can see, these mods have been inactive for some time, yet has still retained their rank. This is, in my opinion, seen as laziness on who ever is in charge of mod ranks' part. I am not saying the mods do bad at their job. We are, however, suggesting that you are not fully aware of moderation activity.
In addition, some moderators are even skipping ranks. This is also unfair in our eyes, to the other moderators. I understand that they may be doing a very great job, but is it really worth outright upranking them through two or three?
Please consider this message, put it into thought, and take action.

Mods shouldn't be assessed on activity, so it is not a good idea to simply choose the most active people to become mods, if that is what you are trying to get at. Secondly, the forum doesn't really need that many mods at the moment, seeing as activity levels are fairly low. However, if more mods were needed, there should be a base activity rate, say one post a week or visiting every other day unless they have notified someone in charge why they will not be able to.

Is it me or are you just pissed off because you were fired for being a little kiddie while they don't give a hell if a mod works behind the scene or is inactive?

The mods you listed have all more then deserved their title in the past and only Juniors ever get fired for inactivity.

The moderation system is very well organized and just how is it unfair?

Because you're not a mod?

They don't get paid for being a mod.

They don't get any bonuses.

They spend their free time and will helping battle dawn and they go away for a while and you complaint?

Shame on you.

Also, I laugh at you first judging the moderation for being inactive and then complaining because Jack skipped 3 ranks whilst he's the most active moderators.

Quite frankly, it sounds to me like somebody is a little bit jealous

we dont have any set time to be removed as a mod just ever once in while we clean house

but it doesn't really matter nothing changes weather they are or aren't mods

I talked with TMOG about this and agreed on the moderation inactivity. I disagree with what he edited in about Jack. I talked with Simmen and he cleared everything up about that.

We both talked, though it was more me and simmen and Ponk watching, than a 3 way conversation. But we somewhat cleared it up. I am still tapping my fingers a little though.

And Winters, don't try to bait me, this isn't in any way, jealousy. In fact, the original idea was Ponk's. It was just something he noticed, and then I agreed.

Somehow I felt attacked too, considering I was out for 1-2 months and just recently came back.

Tho I might say and only to clear some things, we don't have a defined system to kick or not mods tho there are certain... possibilities...
Normally a mod keeps the right of staying mod if they left for justified reasons like real life issues, you won't condemn someone if he has to do a business trip or a school trip or what ever he/she has to do in real life, it'd be unfair, specially for those that have worked their way up to Senior Mod or even regular mod.

I agree that sometimes they only... disappear but how do you know they didn't disappear for justified reasons??

Please don't think we were attacking anyone, because I'm not, and I believe Ponk certainly isn't either.

But if someone is on leave, they obviously aren't moderating the forums, and should lose their rank, for the mean time. I'm trying to find a less strong word than 'lose' here. But my point is, they won't be on for a month or two, and perhaps, they could be on vacation from moderating as well. And when they come back, they get the tittle back, and it's all fine. This would be so assumption don't get passed around like this, if they're really expected to come back.

I apologize if all of this seems harsh. We didn't indent it to be an attack of any sort.
