I'd say that Zelda game was pretty damn good considering it was N64.

Final Fantasy though tops the role play genre by far and I don't care what site reviews it nothing beats the game dynamics and story line that series puts out there.

Mario, hate to say it since I grew up on that game but it's long past it's prime plus a Wii game I'm just not up for playing a game like that with a hand remote. I get sore by playing that Wii bowling game for a hour, for the older people that have tried it, it's not that easy

. If I want to play a good game I'll pull out my original Nintendo and play regular Mario now that's what a true game is about.

This made me laugh out loud.

For starters, the average review sites use a formula which include the amount of reviews.

Furthermore, old games aren't played a lot any more and thus do not receive the attention they deserve.

The old Super Mario World, for example, was far more original and addictive then Super Mario Galaxy to my opinion.

Zelda.. best RPG? Not in my lifetime. If Zelda ever grows to the proportions of Squaresoft's and later Square Enix' loveable and long-running Final Fantasy series, please come back to me.

And no, do not rate it using the last Final Fantasy's, I am sure they were excellent, but anyone with an IQ of about 120 and good software and, most importantly, a big wallet can make a game with great graphics.

What truly makes a game unique is the Storyline, Gameplay, Music, Character development, replay value, addictions and such. Especially in the first, 3th and 4th of these area's, Final Fantasy 6 has shown to exceed anything a Zelda game has ever managed to offer.

I agree with you Winters, but FF3 was by far the best storyline they've come up with hands down. Second to that is FF7 that revolutionized RPG for many years.

Mario dont deserve it anymore... they've drown themselves to the children of today. Now abbout the LoZ and FF stuff... I agree to the fact of FF being the better RPG because LoZ is much more like an adventure game to me. The way they make LoZ shouldnt have it going against FF. May Final Fantasy forever hold the title of greatest RPG ever

The still have reviews , old reviews yes , but reviews none-the less

3 month old games also don't have "recieve" any attention to(in terms of reviews

Graphics don't mean (Want to be allies? Sometimes I like to pretend I am a princess riding a pony..)

You want a storyline? or Character development. go read a book , thats why the exist , Game exist for fun , besides RPG's , which clearly do need a good story.

But in platformers/FPS/racing , a story would only make the game worse , action-adventure , does of-course need one(only the story)(hint : Adventure)but its far from important.

And for your points
SMG1/2 has good music , game-play , replay value and addiction.
Zelda , same , its story is good enough to give a reason to go to dungeon A/B/C etc.. , and various other things that happen in the game.

If you seriously think story affects games like Mario/Zelda , Then i'd suggest stick to RPG's. (and young boys)

So burn your WII , and buy FFVIII

Lol , you mean sony and Microsoft , infinity ward?(Everybody under 18 is a child , according to the law

) Nintendo's games are aimed at anybody , and LoZ aint a RPG , its a action-adventure game(which a fact btw).
