I dont understand why people are saying the new single player mode prevents people farming the computer.
If you lose a match, you go back to an earlier level just like before, dont you?
If this is the case, then why cant it be farmed?
Kick all the 'normal' level opponents upto your maximum ability (and hard if you can) then lose a match against an insane but lower level opponent - wont that make all the defeated enemies open again?
Or something like that...
EDIT to add - at least thats how I thought it would work - having tested it by losing to the computer, (which doesnt normally happen <flex>) I found out the easier levels DO NOT open again.
Therefore, the farming of the computer does indeed seem to be out of the question.
Saddly, I have to agree that this is a disaster for the development of the game. If you know what to do in advance, and save up all your money from a new account, then you can get lucifer at 22 and be OK - otherwise you are screwed.
Previously you could either start a fresh account (I did, hence the original bigdaddy became bigdaddy22) OR farm the computer to get through the stage when you just figure out that your now unable to do ranked matches below level 20, and your equipment is effectively total junk at that level.
Either; the Devs need to act quickly to allow once defeated computer opponent to become available again (for example as I suggested
http://www.battledawn.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=409&t=25565)
Or; quickly intrioduce some other level cap system to stop farming of the new level 20's by the experienced players
ELSE; we stand at the beginning of end of the line for this game.
This later is because new players will quit when hitting the level 20 cap, and becoming easy victims to us experienced players at 23 with lucifers. Nobody here needs me to point out that without new players, its GAME OVER for supermechs - its that serious, IMO.
