I think there is something wrong here. When you fight against someone of the same level, whoever goes first only gets one move point. I feel like this sets up a disadvantage to that person, even though they are the same level. Both players should have only one point on each of there first turns, not just one player. This sets up the opposing player, who has two points, to have an advantage against the first player. They get two moves to do damage, when you only get one, if you even have a weapon or skill that can do damage in the range when you start. I believe this should be changed, so that both players have the same chance in the game, not where one has an advantage over the other and can easily win based on having an extra move against the other.

This was a fairly recent change that was made to the game (it used to be that every turn was two moves), and you're the first person I've seen complain about this.
But this is technically the fairest option, as the difference in actions between the players never goes over 1.
With the old system (and with what you're proposing) the difference in action points changes between 0 and 2 (in the advantage of the starting player) depending on whos turn it is, and this gives the starting player an unfair advantage.

The current system has the first player have 1 action point on their first turn, and every turn after that, for both players, have 2 actions points.

The previous system had every turn having 2 action points.

With the previous system, the player who goes first will be 2 action points ahead, after each of their turns, and tied in action points after each of their opponets turns, and thus have an overall advantage.

With the current system, each player will be ahead by 1 action point after their own turn.

This sytem is by far the fairest I have seen for batles where both players are at the same level. I think this was a great change to game play.
