No to heal/repair mechs. They will become overpowered if you played quite sometime and know drones are pretty damn good.

UNLESS those drones are manually used and requires 1 action point whenever used. Each drone should have amount limit of uses. The repair effects of each drone need to be balanced enough to NOT take the role of a repair kit, but repair more than one on the long run.

Okay, a cooling drone would be interesting, but it causes balance issues that I cannot solve.

I say yes on both but the drone that heals would have to heal a small amount of health each turn, since it could get overpowered quickly or it could be manually as the guy before me suggested and same to the cooling drone

Yeah there is a drone that repairs mechs on the development server at the moment, so it should be implemented soon :D

Still testing sorry :P

I do love this idea. The challenge to overcome in implementing them is the potential for infinite battles.

You grab a corner with your triple laser pointer doing 10 damage through my 29 resist and 25% shield. Then I grab the other corner and my repair drone repairs however much it is going to (we have to assume it will be more than 10 or it won't be particularly useful), restoring me to full health. Obviously you are at full health as well.

As sometimes happens in these situations, you can't attack me without essentially forfeiting the match due to the imbalance in our setups and I choose to not come after you because I know you can't hurt me if I just camp in the corner.

In this situation we have an infinite battle unless you essentially choose to lose the match. There is NO way to force this match forward.

My solution...call it a draw after X turns (say 50). This would have been useful in the old days of level 18 mechs doing 1 damage per turn to each other as well. I once had a match last 216 turns due to this. If I match can't be decided inside 50 turns take the credit from each party and give neither one a win or loss.

Explained perfectly! :)

Expect around 20 - 25 heal (no fusion) for the drone.

I have no idea what the estimated weight will be or when it'll be released, but I hope for < 40 kg and in a month or so.

Those are my guesses, don't hold me to any deadlines or ill sue all of you.
