What about a mine launcher?

Has three types and does resistance drainage just like grenade launchers.
The idea is that you pick your range to fire the mine launcher, the mine will stay on the ground until it is either: Steped on (Duh), a mech is pulled over it by grappling hook, charged over, teleported onto, or jumped over. In all these cases the mine will explode giving its resistance drainage, and damage. Knockback in a random direction can add fun too.

But here is where the mines get tricky, ANY MECH can land on them and be affected. So an optimal but not entirely op strat would be to but your back against a wall and start laying mines around your opponent, hoping they dont grapple you to your death!

Here are my estimated stats of these weapons:

Physical Mine Launcher Mark1 ~ 45-55 damage, 3 physical resistance drain, range
3-6/7


Energy Mine Launcher Mark1 ~ 40-50 damage, 3 energy resistance drain, 15/20 energy drain, range 3-6/7

Heat Mine Launcher Mark1 ~ 35-45 damage, 3 explosive resistance drain, 25/30 heat damage, range 3-6/7

Good idea :) These weapons would be very dangerous for mechs with 1 walking distance, although other mechs could jump over them. They would need to be heavy and have limited uses/use mines as ammo to avoid being OP though.
