64 person tournament for the cost of 5 battle credits. Each player is randomly paired first round. A win equals 3 points. A tie is 1 point, for the purposes of stalemate there is a turn limit, 20 turns maybe 25??? after 8 rounds the top 8 players with the most points play single elimination playoff until there is 1 champion. 1st place shall receive 100,000 super mech credits 2nd 50,000. 3rd and 4th get 25,000. 5th-8th get 10,000. I like this idea but it's very difficult to implement in game :(

In the past we had a community run tournament, where each round was a knock with a best of 3 system. This was fun back when it was done and I'd like to see it happen again :) However with community events there are no prizes :(

this could work in a slightly different way by having "mini leagues" so only 64 people can compete in these leagues which last a week and only play a certain number of matches then the best player wins.

I forgot what game... but they had over 20,000 players.
They used a League system. This is an example of that system.
if there are 20,000 players there are 5 Leagues.
Commoners league
Talented league
Epic league
Legendary league
Mythical league
*Insert Type* league

Registry into your league depends on your first 100 battles in normal ranked matches.

ALL leagues can have a similar reward for participation. Say a power kit or 10k sm.
Talented league could have a Legendary weapon as it's winning top 5 items.
Epic>1 mythical old item pool. 5 Tokens?
Legendary> 2 mythical old item pool. 25 tokens?
Mythical> Unobtainable mythical item. Or even 50 tokens? (Unique to tournaments only)

The rewards can be changed to be more balanced. You can make it so any players who land in that pool get that reward. As to prevent a monopoly on rewards, you can make it so that each player who enters a league and wins that leagues prizes, can be out of the tournament next time.
