Sorry I like it

Especially if you are weaker the unlimited range is better because you can maybe escape to the edge of the map and let your drone do some damage.

It can't be 'too powerful' because you have the power to use it as well! The infinite range adds a nice balance to the game, imho. If you're facing problems with dealing with drones trying getting your own, or in the event you're losing to someone with a superior drone (happens alot in levels 10-25) try using energy-draining tactics or explosive/physical resistance modules

Can agree with it. Heat/rocket drones were very common -> resistant module and the drones output was drastically reduced.
