Great idea Deflowerer.

But could you explain two swords to me a little?
It would appear that you should never be able to hit with two, as the enemy would (or should) always attempt to move away as a last move in his turn, and if you move into close, then you only get one strike.
Is it that you have to over heat him or something? Or is it to get the choice of two different types of attack (say a knock back and a no knockback, or heat base and energy based damage).

Thanks

I see, thanks.

What level does it become effective? 22/23? (or is that considered 'low level')

good couple of games we just had BTW.

First off, from HERE you can see all my current builds.

The tactics i'd be sharing today is my Black Mamba's (lvl33) tactics.

Like seen from the pic, i have 5 weapons.
100 Sword is for those who love to come close. Better back up some.
At mid-range, you'll taste my Red Rein and Double Red Watch Guard. Time to keep your mech cool if you don't like heat lockdown.
And if you think you're safe when you're at the other end of the arena? Think again since then you'll see that my Artilery 1 and Sniper Rifle are still reaching at you.

So, you can run but you can't hide. ;)
And that's my tactics, i'm able to hit you wherever you are. :D

I love close combats - almost always you will see me havind two swords.

Basically, I do one of three (or more of them combined):

- get close to the opponent (with hook for heat-sensitive or with teleport for energy-sensitive players) and deliver pain with either Dismantler (if the opponent has close range weapons, to send it far) or 100 Swords (for those weak in close range)
- minimize damage taken in high range with shield, cooldown or kits, preparing for close range combats)
- do EVERYTHING possible to drain shields and / or energy

The fourth action is to lose as gratiously and honourable as possible when the tactics above fail :D

Please note that I am a heavy spender (I spend tons on kits): I strongly believe that high-resistance + shield is much more effective than high-hitpoints.

Downsides of this approach - low energy and heat stats :(

If I start first and have 2 action points, I usually try to hit my opponent with my strongest attacks right off the bat. They usually ( not all the time) don't follow up with 2 attacks in a row them self's when it is their turn.

Of course, when I see someone using a resistance kit right when they first start, I usually follow up with one of my own unless I know I can still beat them.

Also, another thing I like doing is getting my Drone out and sitting on the far edge of the map just cooling down. sometimes my opponent will copy me though, but that is usually not an issue because they will try to fight me when they see me just shutting down waiting for them.
I only do this if i am stalling to get a little bit more damage on them than they are doing to me, or if I have more HP than them and want them to approach me.This does not work to well if they have some type of sword though ( if it is stronger anyways).

About my genaral tactics now.

In 95% of the time:
Step 1 - Shield up
Step 2 - Droid out

In those 5% times, if opponent also has either a Red/Blue Lookout or Double Red/Blue Watch Guard and we start at range 5 of eachother then:
Step 1 - Shield up
Step 2 - Fire my Red Lookout or Double Red Watch Guard to push opponent out of the range of their Red/Blue Lookout or Double Red/Blue Watch Guard
Step 3 - Droid out

I also prefer to hit opponent from far away.
