When the new UI was implemented, I very rudely brought it up in the mod chat (sorry Ilona) with the same concerns as you.

Ilona said though that the old UI confused newer players as it was fairly confusing if you were a first time user. However she also said the UI, just like the game, is far from finished yet ;)

I know the UI just like every other part of the game will undergo changes which will result in a vast improvement. Just be patient I am sure it will be worth it.

hey! That sounds like i would murder everybody :lol:

However, both are right. We knew we would launch on amorgames and other portals soon, so we had to make the main interface as simple as possible. Nothing is more annoying as when you have to click on several buttons before you can start a game that you have chosen already.

I don't think we can bring the old one back, but this one will go through several changes and improvements as well till we'll be satisfied with it.

To keep the simplicity of the UI, yet make it more appealing, I believe all that is needed is a nice backdrop (just like BD's very detailed pictures on its intro page). Appealing, yet keeps things simple still :)
