Its also rude and some of the things that are mimicked are immature and make people look bad to others... esp. those that dont understand how the mimicking is done.

What is "mimicking" I just really started getting into SM but what is it?

there is a code of some sort where a player will say something and it will show up as if another player said it when they really didn't. you can tell when it happens if you try to click on the player that said it and the player directly above them is highlighted as well. the player highlighted above is the actual person who made the comment. another way to tell is that the false players name is just a slight shade of orange different then normal names.

awesome. ty . that will also clear up people chatting in font so large it doesn't even show up... the color of the text was fine, then people started to figure things out and got abusive with it with the mocking and spamming of 200 font size typing [not sure if it was really that big, but you get my drift.]

Why? did you remove HTML in chat are you serious that was the best part of chat you could attract more attention to your chat messages with color and extra large now we all look the same bring way when in chat

It was removed because many players abused it.

Also, it was never intended for players to learn how to tweak their messages via HTML code when HTML was enabled in chat.

And lastly, those who did learn this secret never shared it to anyone who asked how they changed the message's color, regardless of how politely was asked.
Common answers were: "press Alt + F4 for colors", "press Crtl + Alt + Del, and then Enter, Enter for colors" etc etc.
Why those selfish jerks should have a privilege over other users?
In the end, it was right thing to remove HTML codes from chat!

Oh, one more thing.
Even though i once did try to color my message in public chat by BB Code and when i failed, i instantly got trolled by a person who did know how to color his messages. It even went on so far where he changed his screen name to mine and posted several offensive messages under my name.
Eventually that lead to a HTML ban by devs.
