I want to propose a follow function. When you click on a player's name, there should be a button "follow" which you click, and whenever that person start sa fight, you watch it live.

That way you can look at players for entertainment or to find out their style.

Multiple people can follow a match in real time and comment on it, discuss it while it happens.

that would be neat, but not quite sure how feasible that would be in terms of programming.

you can always watch replays learning a players style and or entertainment as well though.
watching live matches could actually cause possible lag issues in the matches as well.

matches also dont usually last long enough to really make comments on during the match.

and multiple people following a match live wont work to well either because everyone is not synced to the server the same, and internet speeds are not the same... those two factors alone could cause major issues in the matches.

that's easy to do, it would be like setting someone as 'friend' temporarily, this would be a fun option indeed and games could start auto-replay when they finish, doesn't need to be real time

+1

I dont really see the point. You can always watch the older replays, and that suggestion sounds pretty complicated programming-wise, and would probably just open up another can of glitches. There should be more replays visible tho, you can only see like a 10 of them in the list.

I don't like this idea ^_^ sorry.

There's already a lot of players who copy top mechs, rather than experiment and find out what works best for them. A follow function will only increase this I think :P

Something I think that is needed though, is a search player function. That way we can find friends and such and look at their replays :)

What you say it's called censorship, same thing as: "Don't let players watch other players because it's not good for them". If you don't like copycats then maybe remove replays all together along with the inspect tool?

But if there are already tools to watch other people, what's wrong in augmenting them? Maybe I'm bored of the game and I feel like watching someone else fighting some battles like watching a movie for a while.

I really don't expect it to be implemented though.
