Most of my opponents never use kits but they shouldn`t limit kits used because some mechs have 6 kit slots and if they limit the kits the 6 slots would become useless since you can only use a predetermined amount of kits per battle.

Hm this could work, it would be interesting to see the gameplay if there were no kits at all.. And for me that idea about reducing the score if a kit is used sounds the best of them, it would make many people (including myself) think twice before using a kit.. i like it :)
Oh and giga i dont think it would matter as those with 6 kits would have to choose which 1-2 of them they are throwing in..

but Souldescent that would make a mech with 2 kit slots the same as a mech with 6 kit slots because you can only use 1 or 2
(although if you have 6 kits instead of 2 you could be prepared for many different mech builds and use the 2 most suitable for the battle instead of only having 2 and nto being able to use the opponents strengths against them

Yes that is exactly what i meant :) Those with more kit slots would still have an advantage over those with less, because wider variety of choice..

Destroking, love that idea, as a non kit user it would definitely even things up. I think that its a great idea, would even things up for sure. I thought about getting more points for kt games vrs non kit games. Should be examined, I think the game would be more popular if it was evened up a little. And better instructions, tips, and ideas, there are so many variables, took me a LONG time to figure some things out and thanks to soul and you helping me, its making more sense now. >:)

kit restriction was a good idea, in fact using kits not only made an advantage/disadvantage when only one of the player are using kits (and this is obvious), but unfortunately made a distortion of the gameplay although both player are using kits: for example, If I use weapons that needs bullets against a player that use weapons that do not require bullets although both are using kits I will finish my bullets sooner or later (also using a bullets kits) while my opponent can continue his attack for an indefinite period. this situation actually makes physical strategy useless, reducing the variety of the gameplay to only energy/heat strategy. This is my opinion. Using only one kit per battle would be a good compromise.

If you limit kits to 1 per battle, then you have to completely rebalance a lot of armors, especially galaxus which is not very good without the kit advantage (6 kit slots).

There is no advantage in having a choice of kits because clearly the most useful one is resistance, that would be the only one with any point in using.

If only 1 kit can be used the game would be heavily skewed towards physical being strongest. Heat maybe could compete, but energy builds would be rendered useless.

I mean if you're gonna go this route I say just eliminate kits altogether, but then there has to be huge rebalance in gears and also to make energy relevant.
