Clan fight for territory instead of just chasing ranking? and territory provide SM like tax revenue. Also you can steal resources from other clans territory. Not well thought off, but it's a start. Pelase feel free to jump right in

This is a good developing idea, the land owned could be like the squares in campaign. However, how would land be held without constantly be stolen? Would there be a way to sell land for parts or tokens? Most importantly would there be a live battle for land that you could accept so only active players could fight?

I may have left more questions than answers, but I am a strategist who works with whats given and as leader of the crusher family I am always interested by new ideas. :geek:

Add geocaching to app and then run that rabbit like PokeYourMom Go with "forts" that need defending.

Seriously, though, any territory system requires in-depth development and may require much higher levels of participation from clan members than I think currently exists.

I do believe there does need to be something other than rank-chasing to attract more players and lower the user attrition rates, preferably something with an "idle" element to it, though I find idle features to be almost offensive as an active player myself.

Underground matches where your mech is on steroids the longer you don't play? I dunno.

Territory defense might be fun if they have a separate locker for defense parts and you can hire buggies and tanks in addition to or instead of your mech. Make your opponent a custom campaign level of sorts. I dunno.

Sorry bout the lazy post. Off work and too tired to have totally coherent feedback.
