Wrong. Some good axe and lava spray users mostly focus their stats on heat and cooling. Which would mean they would be vulnerable to physical weapons with high damage as well as energy mechs with high energy damage weapons.

Thanks to the weight limit, it really is about balance and meta-strategy. If the OP is having problems dealing with heat mechs, I'd recommend using a few cooling modules and seeing exactly how well a heat mech can fair versus 160 cooling. Other option, if you raise your max heat and use no heat physical weapons with high damage, you can three or four turn a heat mech that doesn't usually have the HP or resistance to stop you.

Just because a player prefers a certain build (like energy mech) doesn't mean that the meta game will cater to that preference. Earn or buy parts and widen your horizons. Trust me in that there are plenty of players that can beat the heat... mechs.
