Surely green energy!! You know how much energy the Sun outbursts? Well, ill put it this way: if we could harvest 100% of one day's worth of energy the Sun sends us, it could be equal to ALL of the energy that oil, natural gas, etc. turned into electricity. I wouldnt bother making nuke plants... just make more efficient and cuantious solar pannels!!!

What a stupid question. Obviously green energy is better, that's no contest.

The issue is that green energy is not easy to produce, it's not a mater of whether some people 'prefer it' or not.

Personally I think the only reasonable alternative to fossil fuels is nuclear energy. Green energy is supplementary, but too difficult to generate to be the world's main source at any point in the near future.

Green Energy, at least in my country, is pretty much any energy that doesn't produce pollution and doesn't use fossil fuels. Thus that would include Nuclear Energy.

Nuclear energy shouldn't be amongst conventional for it was never the conventional energy out of misplaced fear.

Green energy should be the one gathered from non-organic means. I think the nuclear energy could fit... but it is by far the most dangerous type of energy to mess with. Just think of a guy turning on a smoke inside a nuclear reactor... lol

Nuclear energy is arguably the safest. Fossil fuels are incredibly dangerous to acquire, store and are damaging to the environment when used. Most renewable (green) energy sources like wind farms and hydroelectric dams have significant impact on wildlife in the area. Nuclear power plants, by comparison, do very little damage.

Happened 25 years ago, the health and safety measures utilised in nuclear power plants in the modern day compared to then are significantly better. Chernobyl is an incredibly outdated example.

Unfortunately, media inspired fear of nuclear energy is standing in the way of development. We owe our very existence to nuclear energy (in this case, nuclear fission, which causes the immense heat and light produced by the Sun)

Chenobyl, as explained before, was due to outdated safety procedures (too many cooling rods were removed from the reactor core, causing it to overheat). The plant itself was outdated, and nowardays there will be failsafe systems that prevent similar incidents.

Still, the danger does exist. I bet those ingeneers at Chernobyle thought they were completely inside their security measures, when time showed them they wasnt. Ofc there are much more security measures... but its still dangerous. The energy of the Sun actually damages us, even with the atmosphere defenses (which we are killing ourselves xD), though they keep us alive. Its actually the best alternative of energy, if we could harvest more of it. Unfortunately, the tech doesnt exist yet, but its being developed. The studies and ingeneering of solar-energy harvesters may as well be the future... much less risks if ya ask me (other than getting a slight bronze color which makes u popular with... pairs ;D) and much more eficient. And above all, we can all agree on one thing: green energy is the best! :P
