Huh.. Tough question. I think that everybody has their definition of love..
Personally, I think that love starts with lust A.K.A 'human race must survive' Caveman instinct, then there is a toss up if the couple decide that they want to stay together for moral support, friendship and a person that they wish to rely on for the rest of their lives.
In short, I think that love is when somebody finds someone not for baby making but for trust, friendship and, love

In other words: love is something you should make, not feel.
I wouldn't read too deep into love if I were you guys. You'll end up being 40 an alone before you give up trying to understand it. Just go with the flow and if things don't work out, move on.

Love is a never ending battle, that chase to the end of the rainbow, the ultimate goal that can never be reached. It's the counterpart to many things, and you can't live with it, and can't live without it. It has the ability to seed the seven deadly sins, yet take them away as well. It's an undefinable feeling, emotion, situation that gets us into trouble, and out of it again. We're all looking for it, but it doesn't come to you when you're looking, only when you're not. Such is love, that awkward silence, that last portion of a meal, that indescribable work of art. Even if they say they know it, they don't. As it can never be obtained, and never lost, as you've always hold it, but never realize it.
Oh well, money is always a good alternative, at least that has a better definition
