I've been trying to access BD through my school wifi, and I notice problems when doing so...

The Flash Game itself doesn't work, but I can access the site and forums fine. I can also play other Flash Games fine, and I can even play YouTube and Facebook Apps fine.
But other streaming flash apps and downloads aren't allowed though.

I can play BD fine in my home network though.

So far I've considered these possibilities:
  1. My School blocked BD.
MY school's banlist is only by domains though, so scratch this.
  2. My School blocked Flash Games
I can play other Flash stuff. Why not BD? but then there's the possibility that my school server uses a whitelist for this.
  3. MY School blocks Downloads and sees loading.swf (the flash responsible for loading BD) as a "client" for downloading.
It's a strong possbility. If so, is there a solution for this?
  4. My School uses selective block streaming.
It's also a strong possbility, but I don't want to consider this, because if this is true, there may be no other way to access BD other than another wireless connection (which is quite expensive here compared to other countries)

For now that is all.

It is most likely that your school's network admin has some rule in place regarding games or content, and as you stated, likely keeps a white list. I am only speculating of course, and if you really intend to get to the bottom of it, your network admin would be the one to bark at.

Good luck!

Read the first post, Ronelm is trying to avoid learning to play BD. BD isn't interfering in anybody's education it's the individual trying to get distracted.

Read the board rules. If you are not posting to help and be proactive to someone helping someone else, you need not post here.

littleconqueror has earned a warning.

Anarchist, please mind the rules as well.

I guess I need a little explaining to do:

1. I access BD during breaks ok. >.> And please don't tell me I'm trying to get myself distracted. (It's like saying not to play and chat during breaks)

2. I usually have more free time in-between classes, so I was thinking that if I can access BD through the school wifi, I can save money and still be as online in BD as if I were in the forums.

If you want to bring issue further, kindly PM me.

And as of that issue...I tried accessing a banned site w/ random flash (mostly offline) through a proxy and it works. I doubt a whitelist is at work here. I'll try to ask a network admin sometime. ;)

For now my only solution is to use other ISPs (like that wireless USB internet looked the other day.)
