It's worth buying if you're into WOW but want to switch to a newer feeling game. Since it wouldn't be totally out of place to call it World of (star)Warcraft. I'd rate it 8/10, with the potential of 10/10 if bioware keep working on it.

Pros:
Great storylines and several classes with seperate storylines for solo quests.
Alot of the quests are group friendly.
It's star wars, if you're a fan of that.
Good exciting PVP.
You'll feel somewhat attached to your characters.

Cons:
The endless amount of long cutscenes for the smallest NPC conversations can get annoying if you're not interested in storyline. (Can be fixed with repeatedly tapping the space bar)
Once you get into the higher levels, the quests/missions become less unique and more of a generic "i lost x item in x place, i need you to go and get it for me. Oh, and kill x person and a bunch of side objectives and i'll pay you for it". Obviously doing the missions with friends will likely be enough for you not to care about this though.
Not quite enough end game content yet. Although the game is brand new and more will likely be added.
A few nasty bugs. (Should be taken care of soonish. But a con nonetheless)

PROTIP: Buy the standard edition. The cool features you can get in the more expensive edition are almost completely useless.

i really want to....

pros:
-the voices told me to do it
-it looks awesome
-its star wars
-it's MMO
-i love awesome starwars mmo
-it is yes. i approve. want
-starwars nerd

cons:
-i go back to school the 13th and will have like no time to play it
-more expensive than id like
-sounds to me after looking around the web some more that its very unpolished at its current stage
-genericquest is bad genericquest. these tend to annoy me after a while, and you say theres a lot of them later on. though thats hard to escape in this type of game, no matter which game it is, its still con
