I made an adv military scan of an undeveloped op and the results said no units in target. But I seen a squad go in there the tick before the scan, and on the tick after the scan, that squad came out and attacked. How can this be?

The advance military scan can only be done to get information on weapon types, percentages, and unit count that are already in the outpost and not what's incoming to it from the player who owns or his alliance that outpost. The scan might have have showen no units because the units left the op. (N.B: The scan still shows the units cause of an update, that trick doesn't anymore as far as I have just known but is useful to escape lockdowns).

However, it's certain that the squad that's gone in there the tick before the scan is an allied outpost to the player in question, so you will get the "Target has no incoming units" to the other op. And no wonder that squad will come out and attack another neutral/hostile outposts depending on the player's in question "alliance relations" or move to another allied (green) outpost, colony...

Hope I helped, cause I really didn't get your point anyway.

The scan was made while the squad is in the op. The op and the squad are allies. I am the enemy of this squad. Later, I found out that there was only 1 rifleman in the squad. I found this out with an incoming scan. So in summary,

Tick 1: squad seen going into ally's undeveloped op, eta of 1 tick.
Tick 2: Advance military scan made show no units in target.
Tick 3: squad left op and is attacking me. Incoming scan done on my op that the squad is attacking shows 1 rifleman in squad.

I thinking now maybe it is some kind of round off error.

I personally don't really know, I have never encountered that. If you notice any kind of round off error just message the admin of the world you are playing on.

I was hope I was helpful.

^ is the most likely thing that happened.

If the squad leaves at 3:10pm, and the last time you refresh is 3:05pm you will not see the squad leaving at 3:15pm when you scan the OP, when in reality the squad has left and OP is empty.
