Alright folks, the time has come for the start of all the preparations for the BD contest. If you have not heard of it, then please visit this topic http://www.battledawn.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=5172

This contest is NOT for this current M2 round, it will begin at the next reset of M2.

This topic is here for those who wish to sign up and join the contest. I would like for leaders who wish to have an alliance participate to sign up. I don't want every member signing up individually. Get your teams ready, and 1 representative (usually leader, but doesn't have to be) will post here with their team.

The current prize for the winners: 2800 tokens (if you'd like to donate more to the contest, please message malicewolf)

The rules are the following:
- 1 representative will sign their team up for the contest
- Alliances may consist of 12 members
- Members must be listed before contest starts, you cannot recruit throughout the round constantly
- There will be 5 subs allowed through the entire round (for those who find they have to replace some people - NO MORE THAN 5 REPLACEMENTS PER ALLIANCE). You must post when changes occur to your team roster, before and during the contest. So choose your team wisely!
- The contest will be based on a contest point system, not the in-game point system. The winner will be determined by the contest's rules.
- No contest members may switch between other contest alliances
- Those not involved in the contest have every right to hit those in contest, as well as contest members can hit people outside of it.
- NO ALLIANCES, NAPS, ETC. CAN BE MADE BETWEEN ALLIANCES PARTICIPATING IN CONTEST! You can ally any alliance outside of the contest, but doing so will only hurt your chances at winning the contest as that ally not only takes away potential points, but also causes you a small deduction in points.
- The contest was made to PROMOTE wars, not peace. Those participating cannot gang up on one alliance without consequences.
- If a contest alliance is totally wiped out (meaning all members are conquered or a majority of their army is destroyed), no contest alliance will gain anymore points from that alliance for 250 ticks (should be more than enough time to rebuild).
- This 250 tick time limit starts once all members have been conquered, or if an admin (of the contest) says that it has started. It will be up to the admin’s discretion where the points will no longer be counted determined by the screenshots given. This is to prevent an alliance from beating a dead horse and basically farming them for points.
- Farming alliances will end in deduction of points from the alliance that is farming and the alliance being farmed will gain the points deducted. Will be at admin’s discretion again.
- The alliance that wins the contest at the end of the round will receive the tokens and only those currently in the alliance when they won will receive the prize.

The contest point system is explained in the other topic. It is located below the large bold blue font, so scroll down until you see it, then read underneath. It's not too much to read.

5 subs ? what are you crazy ?

There are no BD rules against subs, this contest has a rule about them. If anything, this is more strict to subs than regular server eras, so by what logic is this 'promoting' subs?

Subs are useless anyway, and according to the score calculations, you'll probably be better off without unless you have godly subs.

M2 reset is a bit too close though, maybe consider E2?

i know subs are useless ... i do not support them and i hate them

they only hurt the main alliance who commissions them

if u are going to let people have subs they must be registered as well i beleive....

where the hell did subs come into this? Subs are not a part of the contest. Just having them will almost certainly cause your downfall in the contest point wise. everything the sub does, takes away from your potential points, and if you kill your sub, that would be considered abusing the point system by me, which would lead to deduction of points, or a ban from the contest.

But yea, please fully read the rules and discription from the topic posted at the beginning. Much more detailed and specific description. You'll see i've already placed in mind such things occurring and have made counter measures to make sure my point system isn't abused for the contest. Subs are only a deficit to any alliance who tries to use them. I will be in the world, and if i see a sub helping an alliance, it will just mean they'll lose points. If the sub is takin out by the main alliance, then all the points they wuld have gained will be deducted or they'll be banned

And as for E2, the only problem is that the earth servers are just too uneven... Australia would have such a big advantage, but it's too hard to restrict people from using it as a rule. I wanted to keep it to Mars or Fantasy. If you see a better potential server, tell me, and we'll switch it to there xD

I figured we probably have about 2000-3000 ticks left in M2, which being a double tick won't be too enormously long, but long enough to give people time to sign up.

I do not know all the rules, nor do I have time to read them. But I would suggest bringing it to E2 as well. Mainly because I'm leading an awesome alliance there

lmao, well, you will need to read it eventually (as long as it looks, it's really only a 5 min read), and i've seen a lot of people pushing for E2 now xD

and damn, usually double tick worlds last for about 4000 ticks, well, that's a disappointment. M2 is out of the question then lmao, no way we can set it up in time then (sorry i don't have an m2 account)
