I really don't understand why this is now acceptable in BD. I remember this situation coming up on M2 at one time, Admin Seth required people from the same IP to play on different teams. What is wrong with this solution?

Please put yourself in this situation: You and your sibling play from the same house on different computers, on the same team. Now tell me, if your sibling is about to die, do you let him? Or do you go on his computer and save his/her units that they spent time and/or money to build?

Does anyone really believe that a family member...or friend would not walk into another room to help keep another under the same roof from dying?

Even if there are those who are too honorable to do such a thing, the easy option for one to do so should make those playing under the same IP banned from playing together.

that is not problem the real problem is when they buy ip address change and they are in war you can see all the new colony that the pop up they get bannd after the othere players report them most of the players you see with over 4 medal and archiment are chetters and multi acont not all but 90%they are i play with allmost all of them years back they are cheters

Agreed.. I wouldn't say that everyone plays on the same IP cheats, it's just that the problem is that you can't know who does and who does not. And like you said Mirage, when your brother or friend or whoever is about to die and lose what he's worked for for usually quite a long (and intense) time, would you really let him just die?

It's just impossible for an admin to see whether person A or person B is sitting behind the computer, and therefore I agree we should not allow these people to play together in one team. Though it certainly is tempting to go join a 2-man world with my sister.. I swear, she is a hardcore player! I taught her, she is actually really good. I think we would really wreck!

And honestly, even if they don't play the same worlds. It wouldn't take much for the family member under the same roof to simply log into the other's account and do stuff for them. And of course, having 2 people using the same account means they can possibly have double the activity (but also they usually go to sleep around the same time honestly because same timezone). Regardless though, it's an advantage you can't get around nor catch easily from an admin standpoint. They could try banning any type of multi IP usage and limit families to using only 1 account, but then we run into the issue of who is REALLY logging in whenever that account logs in. Slightly different circumstances (there's not 2 armies to face) but now you have an extremely active player that could much more easily cover their account nearly 24/7.

I think not allowing them to play on the same team would at least be a step in the right direction in my opinion. Would you rather have one colony logging in 24/7 to fight you or two colonies logging in 24/7 to fight you?

I know I know. I'm just saying, both scenarios suck

1 colony is easier to take than 2, especially as the 2 would most likely be super active if they decided to cheat and they wouldn't be caught either. Cutting things down to 1 IP Address per world (so no family playing together essentially) would help as you would only have 1 super active player to deal with instead of 2. But still a sucky situation to try dealing with is all i was saying

1 IP Adress per world ? That is Crazy i would not be able to log on at school or my phone..

Spanish, as the thread topic states, we are talking about people with the same IP address playing on the same team. Unless you have special permission from the admin, you would be banned for doing so. Malicewolf was saying if a colony is assigned to your home IP address, no other colonies from your home IP address to be allowed on that world.

Completely different scenario than logging into your colony from different locations.

Also, I get your point Malice...even if they aren't on the same team, or same world, they can still account share. However, at least if they are on different teams their units can't consolidate together.

It's my opinion that those who play from the same IP shouldn't even be on the same world, however I don't know how many players are in an IP sharing situation and wouldn't want BD's population to get hurt by upset brothers and sisters. This is why I suggest to make them play on different teams, it seems like a fair compromise to those on either side of the fence.

doesn't really matter milan, even if it's 2 different teams, they can still log on to each other's account, which is the main problem for this. If they hadn't, we wouldn't have minded the whole family being in one alliance.

unless we have access to the webcam (which is easy for flash, but is a severe case of privacy invasion), or other stupid limitations (like u can only be online for 16 hours a day, which is, again, stupid) we can't really solve this problem, no matter wat rules or solutions we think of.

Me and my brother play in the same house, with different computers, but the same IP address. We have played on the same team. We don't let each other know our account passwords. I think what you are saying is a little unfair because anyone can log into anyone's account if they give you the password.
