In BD, time is calculated as ticks

Each world has its own number of ticks per hour..example in Earth 2 there is 2 ticks per hour, meaning every tick comes after 30 mins and for E1 there is 1 tick per hour. After each tick the world gets updated when you click refresh.

When you are attacking something, there is a number of ticks for the attack to land..say u launch an ETA 5 attack on a 1 tick/hour world..It will take you 5 hours for the attack to land. if it was a 2 ticker world, it will take you 2 1/2 hours

Hope this clears your doubt
