No, I did not just arrive at this conclusion.
Can someone explain to me why my inquiring about the forum's interest in a 1960's board game was locked
viewtopic.php?f=111&t=20664,
viewtopic.php?f=111&t=20649? It's a board game called Diplomacy. It's like *CENSORED* creating a thread for monopoly.
AND THEN
Commercial games like TF2 and Realm of the Mad God and who knows how many others are allowed to have threads.
viewtopic.php?f=111&t=20633 and
viewtopic.php?f=111&t=20260.
The mods around here are becoming very idiotic. I don't even care enough to rage anymore.
*CENSORED* you all.
Haha, not sure if you saw the original posts but they were removed because we weren't sure if he was a bot or not, his posts did look extremely similar to that of a bot if you didn't notice aisters post "Bot?^"
From my understanding these threads haven't been completely been removed from the forum because we still aren't sure if it's a bot or not because it was kind of borderline and we don't wanna ban a player that made one trip to the forum. There is reasoning behind actions even if you don't see it first, no one just does something there is always a premeditated thought if it is done intentionally which in this case it was.
I feel I have addressed your highlighted issues so if you have anything you are also concerned about feel free to ask and we will answer as all rational human beings will under the circumstances.
Thank you Hal for your concern.
**EDIT**I did forget to answer why the other threads were allowed, these threads weren't really advertising the game heavily. It wasn't a direct link or someone saying "GO PLAY THIS!!!"
I know this reasoning is pretty sketchy but this is what we call a Gray area, there are plenty of them and it just comes down to what the thread leads to and how we feel about that. If we wanted we could just remove all those threads but I'm sure that wouldn't make you very happy. (nor would it make me happy because I love discussing new video games here as I am sure a lot of forumers do.)
