For me it looks like that you are simply mistaken...
Premium account only gives more XP in every fight and no special abilities to weapons.
The Spray Can looks very similar to the Evil Twin which has +20 heat

I'll close the other threads by the way .... one for this issue is enough

What kind of shield do you use?

If it's Heat shield (red glow around your mech) then everything is in order.
Since heat shields do absorb damage at the cost of heat.
So, if Spray Can hits you while you have your heat shield up, it can give you nicely 20 heat (12 heat by default + 8 heat your shield generated).
