Many of the members of HORD have been together for more than 5 yrs. We played under many different names. Most of the time using a theme. Some of which were quite memorable for the way the got a certain select group of bootlicker's panties in a bind.

The guys I consider founders were with me long before HORD was ever even a glimmer of thought. Though we play together on game we have most become life long friends off game. We had others that have since left the game because of not only poor sportsmanship but the sense of futility when facing the pissants that cheat (farm, etc...)

All along those who started with me have said we'd be loyal contributors if there was a "pay to play" server. This idea was presented numerous times to different admins but in the long run was ultimately squashed becuase it wouldn't generate enough revenue. Something I completely understand but don't agree with. If you had a single 1 tick server that was devoted to a flat fee buy-in with no other boosting including the petty voting it would be THE ONLY WAY to prove who the BEST players of this game are. PERIOD. Granted I'm sure there are a small handful of morons out there that would feel the need to cheat in some manner but at least if they tried it there would be a significant cost.

To purchase 3000 tokens it is $45 US dollars and many will not spend a dime on the game . This approach has absolutely nothing wrong with it. Others will boost and reboost numerous times to gain a level of strength they desire.

I'll say this now and I'm sure it'll pizz in some cornflakes. But the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND really was laughable. Just as every other round are if you look at it with open eyes.

I'll just give you an example. As long as you crate an acct using different email address and not logging on from the same ip address you can create TONS of multi accts. Even if it isn't one person doing the damage it is quite easy to have friends and acquatances create and build for you.. It's pretty damned easy to spot when someone with "0" achievements builds a base, forgoes the tutorial and builds nothing other than what is required to spam multiple targets. I'm not even gonna get into it any deeper because those with 1/2 an ounce of brains know exactly what I'm pointing out is the truth.

It's these easily overcome obstacles that were the reasons the majority of guys I have teamed with have walked from the game. As it was they refused to play a round that took place between May 30 and Sept 1. Most of the guys I teamed with were business men that worked full time jobs and hed to provide for their families they weren't available 24/7 and quite honestly had much more importnat things on their minds than a free internet game.

Some of us are in positions where we can have computer access 24/7 if need be and in the words of one of my closest buddies. "We're a pack of degenrate bastids" . My wife spouts off at least 10-15 times an era about my "computer time" while at home when we play a serious round. I've put in more than my fair share of time waiting until the tick was just about to expire so I could launch.

Through the years of playing I made a shytpot of friends on the game from all over the world. One thing we all had in common was not only a love for the game but a love for our inteactions with each other. I started calling these guys my brothers and for the most part I'm closer to them than real family.

Awhile back we got to talking and put our heads together to figure a way out that we could keep our group together and playing all the time. Problem was many had walked away from the game because of a sour taste they had in their mouth. We needed to reinforce our ranks and started teaming up with guys young enough to be our sons. These guys were all fire pizzers and had a love for the game which was off the charts. Round after round our ranks swelled. Eventually Sir Skipwith and I brainstormed, not saying ALL of my brothers didn't pitch in for the idea. But we came up with the idea of having a rotating roster. This way after some get burned out they can take a hiatus and others can fill their spots. I thought the idea was genious and we went about putting it into action. But.... I personally found there was a flaw. Others may not agree and I respect their opinions but what I found was that some who had become part of HORD developed some character flaws. Well in their eyes and I sure others they were not flaws but in mine well let's just say They never would've cut it with the original founders. Again taking nothing away from their style of play. h3ll the proof is in the pudding they crushed anything in their way rund after round and I wish them all the best in te future. But When I led a round I prided myself on a few things.

First and foremost the roster we started with we ended with, unless someone had to 1) bow out due to real life issues and said to replace him/her. 2) Someone was FAR FAR less than honorable. Then and only then it would be discussed by my core members and a move would be made.

I refsued to move someone out in favor of what I call "TOP PLAYERS" rank and achievements mean squat to me. It's all about character. If you didn't know what humility was and if you couldn't understand that the good of the family comes before anyones personal rankings then I just didn't need you around.

Quite honestly I could give a rat's azz about winning the round. If we do then great but if not it's no skin off my butt. Granted those who boost would like a return on their investment and rightly so but the money I use for boosting has already been written off. Just as filling my tank with gas.

Admin Seth has always been a stand up guy with me and I always appreciate his input and communication. I se just how hopeless it must be for some who come to F4 to play and round after round they have their throats stepped on.

But........ Such is life. Sometimes it is a real biooootch. In the real world not everybody gets to be champion. Some just get a trophy for "participating" those who get off their azz and put forth greater effort eventually rise to the top.

I was te first on this game to use the word "Bootlickers" and in order to keep from being banned I started using the term pissants to since it is not as vulgar as the language I usually use on a daily basis.

Put the two together and we have "Bootlicking pissants" if that gets anyone's panties in a bind oh so sorry. But what it should be is a wake up call to those that refuse to take the chance to give it their all.

Remember it's a damned game. If you get conquered here you feel no pain. there are no lasting effects. Rebuild and try harder next time.

Don't be a damned followerr. group together with like minded people and give it a shot to WIN.

INTERACT with others. communicate with everyone you see on the game. eventually you will find others that you are comfortable with and that share the same motives and drive.

That's how my core guys and I started. At first we got stomped every damned round. We needed to adapt and overcome. It took awhile but in the long run we got our crap together. And success followed.

F4 will always be home to me. It's where I cut my teeth. My brothers in and out of HORD will always have a spot in my heart and soul. Even foes from round after round have earned a modicum of respect for their tenacity.

As I have said in other forum posts. I'll no longer use the flag I started using as MDiver more than four years ago (Trinidad & Tobago). I will not lead HORD again nor be part of that fabled alliance. It's time for the old man to move onto greener pastures. I'll always be reachable for those in the know and will gladly reneder aid when called upon.

Good Luck and many conquers to one and all!

BTW, sorry for the length and duration but I've always been known for being a long winded bastid!

I'm only going to touch on this part because my opinions of Hord do not matter but this part is actually inaccurate. In the time that I have been here Ilona has said at least twice that if we the players put together a list of 200 people stating they would play a pay to enter server and how much they could pay she would set it up. I cannot remember a single time where it was stated that it would not generate enough revenue, it just needs to be thought out. Maybe you had that conversation in private on skype, I cannot say but I am only pointing out that it has been said multiple times we could have one if we showed support.

I would play in a pay to play world.. but it would have to be 1 tick an hour, and I don't boost anyways, however this would make more sense to spend money on... there are plenty of boosters who could join. The world would have to be long because it would take a long time to gain power lol.
