actually, 2 years ago (or 3, I lost trace of the time) we do hand out blue on the forum. We had Signature of the week contest, Picture of the week contest and Monthly Community Member of the Month and Spammer of the Month, we also had some SpamFest. All of them handed out blue as a rewards.

However, the number of people in the forum wasn't really big so the winner just place on a small group of people instead. I myself got like 5 or 6 Sig of the week rewards (or maybe more, I lost count). So people gradually lost interests in them and they were discontinued.

After that we did put some efforts into hosting games that give out blues as rewards, but they didn't attract much attention and was promptly left to rust.

However, in the latest game, a write-a-story contest, attracted quite a lot of people and submissions, some of which I really liked. I had a lot of plan that followed the contest but for a reason, it couldn't be carried out...

And like Aister said, there was a lot more community activity before, which drove competitions that put out blues for prizes. Hell I won Community Member of the Week once, where I got 200 blues for just being moderately decent in the forums.

If you want blues for forum people, get people back in
