Will battledawn switch to HTML5? It's supported by more devices, faster and overall more convenient and the flash market is going down. So will it ever convert to HTML5?

Thank you for your concern. I am certain that as time wears on, we won't have much choice but to evaluate our options if flash becomes fully unsupported. As of right now though, I do not know that flash is totally bound to become obsolete.
Time will tell ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Flash is, clearly, growing increasingly outdated and losing viability. It does not perform well, it has not been adopted by the mobile era (which is clearly the future of computing) and it's losing a lot of support as a platform even for PC's with the rise of alternate technologies such as indeed HTML5. However, it wouldn't simply be a switch. This would require a complete redevelopment of the Battle Dawn client. Basically - years of work down the drain. Is it inevitable? Yes. It completely and doubtlessly is. But for now, there's still millions of computers supporting Adobe Flash and thus a large potential user pool for Battle Dawn to expand to. When BD grows large enough and the time is right - hopefully we will see Michael develop a wholly new version of Battle Dawn adapted to modern gaming using a versatile and crosss-platform language such as Javascript-HTML5. Patience is a virtue mate. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

I think that in flash there is an option to export to HTML5, i think I read. And anyways, adobe will put it as soon as it can if it's not already there. It sucks that I can't play with my mobile, and that it drains all my CPU when it's on PC.

Only one I know of that you cannot is windows 8 phone. viewtopic.php?f=171&t=24117&hilit=How+to+play+BD+on+your+phone Is a link to the guide.

it's Window Phone 8... Win 8 (on PC) supports Flash on its Internet Explorer as always...
but as Flash is getting less and less supported, isn't it time to start developing a HTML5 version of the game? We can't wait till Flash is totally unsupported to start changing to HTML5, can we?

We can't wait till Flash is totally unsupported to start changing to HTML5, can we? will the difference be noticeable between the current version of BD and the HTML version? if so then how? and why?
