You lose points because they are tied to a variety of things; in this case it's your unit counts. When you lose 10 or so units you drop score.

Different game. On lil change since you've probably gone is Battledawn has released a new game called Supermechs. Both games share the same forum, so take care when replying to something and check if it isn't posted into the supermechs forum.

As for an answer to this, it happens when you find a game but you aren't connected to the game (resulting in a loss). When you next play the points you lost for the previous game will be deducted in the after-match report of the game you just played. This was at least what happened when I actively played. It can be a result of poor connection from your side or Supermechs have just released a new patch and the bug is back, in which case it shouldn't take too long for them to fix it again (hopefully).
