Hello pilots.

I am summing up all the changes for the upcoming patch:

1) New ranking system.

2) Weight system.

3) 3 mechs available after level 10.

4) All torso restrictions for equipment have been removed. Max equipment is now determined by the player's xp level. after level 12 a player can already use all equipment slots, assuming his mech wont be over weight.

5) Replacing item levels with tiers. Because of the weight system which makes most items in the game useful even at level 30 we realized that there is no need to keep levels in play. Also, players have always wanted to buy item boxes from levels they already passed. To solve all of these issues in one strike we've built the tier rating. Items from levels 1-6 are in tier 1, items in level 7-15 are in tier 2, and items in level 16-30 are in tier 3.
And now when a player wants to buy an item box, he selects one of three tiers (which get unlocked according to his XP level : 1, 7 and 16).

6) WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Please help us test all of those features so we can launch the new patch :)
http://www.supermechs.com/bmmdev/
(and remember to clear temporary internet files to get the latest version)

7) We apologize in advance about having to restart the development site a lot of times. Its simply part of our development process.

Thank you all!

1) Hard to tell with this. I like the idea, however it's difficult to tell how well it will work without testing it with large numbers first.

2) Currently impossible to really test the weight system as it's impossible to get the creds/level required to try out different parts on a mech before reaching the cap.

3) I can't even get the creds/level to build one full mech :'( nevermind 3.

4) This one I'm interested in at higher levels. Some torsos had more module slots in them (legendaries) compared to other torsos around the level. Changing this may change the balance of the game. This could either be good (as some legendaries will no longer be as strong) however it could throw quite a bit of the balance to the game, unless torsos have already been changed to account for this.

5) I like this idea however I feel there should be another tier bracket in the 16-30 range, as that is a huge tier bracket. A lot of items will be thrown in to this bracket and those at level 16 won't be able to compete. I know the weighting system won't allow all top weapons however (without actual testing as I haven't reached that level yet) I feel those lower level items will be near worthless anyway.

6) *blushes*

It is very hard to test, even with a friend as there is quit a bit of grinding to this game to be able get items. It's not really ideal to grind through a testing server to have it erased where it doesn't mean anything.

I would love to test it but it seems to be impossible right now.
Could you maybe add a link/invitation message to the main game ? I'm sure more people would come if only they knew about this, a very small amount of people even read the forums compared to how many play the game...

are we able to continue this new version with our old mechs?

Or this new version requires existing players to start all over again?

I've tried the new version, i like the new system, but if existing players
were to start all over again, perhaps they might just continue with the old version

Hope existing mechs and items stays, with the new version (system)

Appreciate your efforts!! you guys are the best!!

Anyone fancy helping to test out the new system, so I can check if what I've said is 100%?

Add a.gilbert2671 on skype if you're up for it! :)

I'll jump in and see what it is all about.

***Question 8/19***So I logged in as myself and it started me as level 30. I noticed my weight is capped out at 1000Kg. How do raise that? its not nearly enough to equip a level 30 mech.***additional info***I notice when I fight it list me as level six. Also in the achievements it says I haven't reached level 10. I'm currently showing 371K experience.

***Bug?***legs "Two Steps" will not allow me to walk one position I can only go two forward or backwards. Not sure if this is a bug or why you call them "two steps"

***Note***Final entry for 8/19. I was not able to fight anyone online so it was all campaign battles. However, looking online I could see that there are weapons that I do not have access to. I think something is wrong with my account biased on my first entry. my match making symbol is two tridents with a star in between in the color gold. does this equate to level 6? something like this |*|
