It just doesn't seem accurate to me.. it can either show lower number of units than one actually has or show more units lost than one has recruited.

From what I've seen so far, units lost via nukes are not recorded, but how the hell can someone lose more units than he's actually recruited?

From my experience, it seems to count units lost by alliance members you're with during a co-op battle, along with yours.
