Pain & Gain is a 2013 American crime-comedy film, it is a true story, which details the kidnapping, extortion, torture, and murder of several victims by an organized group of criminals that included a number of bodybuilders affiliated with Sun Gym. Some of you may have heard of Pain & Gain The Movie which was released in 2013, it is a story about three kidnappers trying to get big and rich, the story is true and some also might have heard of the Sun Gym Cases in the 1990's, the story is also a comedy and some people believe it is wrong to make these men look good. Twenty years ago, Marc Schiller was kidnapped, robbed and almost killed by a gang of idiotic bodybuilders. Now his story has been made into a comedy starring Mark Wahlberg. Why isn't he laughing?

The comedy overshadowed the more seirous aspect for me, I was so surprised when it turned out to be true lol.

idk ... maybe it was the bad german translation, but i missed fully the comedy aspect in this movie. It was rather weird than funny.
I saw better ones before and I have my doubts if 'based on a real story' means in this case more than 'some body builders tried to make the big coup'

Scenes like the one where he gave the toe to the dog make me rather wanting to puke than to laugh
