when someone tells you someone is american, where do you assume they are from? i told life someone was american and he got all confuzzled (lol what a noob)

cuz "America" is not literally means US... it's just becuz US is the largest, worth-mentioning country in America Continent for a long time, which made everyone think "America" = US...

while life doesn't know that for some reason, he might assumed that guy is from the America Continent...

but you are canadian. and you said the person whom we were talking about was american, and i assumed she lived in newfoundland. so that could have mean many things.

I don't think so... US might disregard other countries in America Cont. but I never see any country disregard US...

i just realized how dumb the name newfoundland is. it's like the guy who named it had absolutely no creativity whatsoever. he could've chose something cool like texas but noooo.
