10 Armor and 20 Range for a infantry squad is normal and fine. It is how I build mine.

Most people mix armour and range together when building armies, the exact ideal ratio of armour to range is subject to debate (and can vary depending on circumstances) but most players have more than 10% and less than 50% armour, as a rule of thumb.

As for optimal chassis - the fact that you're defending doesn't really make any difference at all, but mathematically infantry is the strongest chassis (it is the only chassis with a 25% damage bonus and no 25% damage weakness) however chassis builds are generally tailored to be most effective against a player's opponents (if your enemy is 100% consussive then infantry isn't going to be a good idea)

Well, is that with the added 25% Bonus?

Would just like to point out, the bonus is 33%, not 25%.

Correct, the battle system does not work as it says it does.

Also, Infantry might mathematically be the best chassis, in practice it isn't. People (especially newer players) tend to build a lot more concussive then beam and explosive.

In practice, until XP is fixed, it is the best.

Top teams of E1 and E4 last era both won with infantry armies.

I'll look into 33% vs 25% and let you all know which it is ultimately supposed to be.

Update:
Apparently it is 25%, but it isn't damage that changes. Vehicles have 25% less HP when fighting infantry and tanks have 25% less HP when fighting vehicles.

I've updated the front post accordingly.

Wait, the optimal build is 8/0/22, as in 8 armor 0 damage and 22 range? I had it backwards with 22 armor and 8 range... woops.

No debate

Inf
20R-10A

Veh
10R-5A

Mech
7R-3A

This is what the pros use

To add to that, ive found damage has carry over (correct if wrong?)

But say you have 2 units left, 1 with 2 hp and one with 6 hp. If the other side has 1 unit that deals 8 damage, it will kill both units
