Since Melt has been enjoying the use of the BC so much, I offered them to come here to express their distaste with our actions.

Here is how I understand the situation to have gone down.

JFA/Melt make NAP for a couple hundred ticks, JFA is not allowed in Africa, Melt is not allowed in SA. Then come along me...I'm sitting in Saudi and join JFA. At this point I have ops in Africa and continue to expand in hopes to move my troops from Africa to SA. After I join JFA leader says im not supposed to be in Africa, I tell him thats stupid and that he should renegotiate the deal. We consider it/take a vote on it, etc but before then, Melt is attacking my ops in Africa.

At this point I just pull my units back to Saudi and say screw it, ill get home via Europe. It's at this point (during the middle of the night while severely intoxicated), that Mirage and one his lackeys decide to attack my colony(and fail, ouch) and take my ops in Saudi.

So its pretty typical/simple scenario. Not sure how Melt is going on about backstabbing, etc. Sure, I didn't raize ops out of Africa right after joining..but never attacked any of their stuff or tried to snipe them. I think the term backstabbing has been heavily misconstrued here.

It's a bit of a gray area.. Melt probably was a bit intimidated.. And maybe JFA were being jerks.. But if anyone backstabbed it was Melt.. Not that it matters.. WAR!:)

with the rate things are going, africa is pretty much yours. and they've gained literally nothing from this. as for the backstabbing part i can understand where they're coming from and so i think what rupert said pretty much sums it up.

While I'm not here to debate semantics, I've always assumed a backstab would involve actual aggressive movements, aka attacking.

Either way it's not a big deal. Just figured we could clean up the BC and leave the discussions in here. We're all starting to sound like a bunch of little girls on there.

i am just trying to say, if a powerful looking alliance was trying to cross my territory, I'd be threatened although calling it backstabbing is going to far.

but like you said it'd be nice to hear from them

I guess they can't type and run at the same time.
