ok i still dont understand how this happened.
the old rule was that if your troops leave your colony, gate etc. with 2 ETAs remaining you will not feel the effect of a nuke.
then on the current mars3 i did just that, left at 2 ETAs and my units were hit by the nuke.
then somebody said the new rule is that you have to leave with 3 ETAs remaining.
well here on earth3 a nuke was coming at me when i got online with 2 ETAs left so i sent a delayed movement to my OP at 2 ETAs + 15 deayed.
the nuke hit and i lost 10% of my army there, but this part i dont get...
1 ETA after the nuke hit a squad attack to my colony hit while my troops were on a delayed movement which makes that 3 ETAs from the time i left my colony and my troops got wiped out cause the fact they were all 1 HP.
maybe i dont understand the delayed feature, maybe if i had not put them on a delay my troops would not have got hit by the squads?
any input would be appreciated...
also with the ion cannon, if i had shot down the nuke at 1 ETA would that have saved my workers and troops?

If your troops are on a delay it is like they are still on the OP. Thats why they died. You are correct about leaving 2 ticks prior to the nuke hitting, it won't affect you if you leave 2 ticks prior to it landing.

thank you abeyant that really helped about the part that my troops were still at my OP on the delay that explains what happened.

hey abeyant, can you tell me if the nuke will have the effect if you shoot it down with 1 ETA remaining?
and also on mars3 before this happened to me i left my troops at 2 ETAs but was still hit by the nuke, the only thing is that it may have been on a delay also... are you sure the nuke doesnt have an imapct at 2 ETAs.

If you shoot down a nuke 1 tick away it will have no effect whatsoever :)
And yes, any squads that leave 2 ticks before the nuke hits will not be affected.
Is it possible you miscounted the other time? Perhaps a delay or something?
Remember, delays don't mean your squads have left, they are still on the op/colony

thank you so much for the reply, that was the answer i thought.
i was confused until now...
the time before i think i delayed my squads out also to try to buy more HP.
