I have been playing Battledawn for 5 years without any problems, but recently I moved to an area where I have to connect with satellite and my ping rate is usually over 600. My download speed is around 20 mbps which is really high, but I guess it's the ping that matters.

When I try to log in from my satellite connection, I always get the "server under maintenance" or whatever it is, and I can see the map but can't execute any commands.

Is there any way to play this game even though my ping is really high? I can play Path of Exile without a problem even with a high ping rate, not sure why I can't play Battledawn with the same rate.

The speed doesn't matter THAT much for BD. It matters enough so that you can load and do stuff, but it doesn't matter like in real-time games. My internet speed is fine, except that I play from China. Which means that many times I won't be able to get onto BD due to factors I can't control, while CN League of Legends works fine.

The most I can suggest is to clear cache/cookies, update flash, try different browsers, if you haven't already. Of course, someone else might have a better idea than I on how to help you.

I decided to try this out and downloaded Firefox new, but I still get the "Server is currently under maintenance" popup. Since it was installed fresh there is no cache which means that can't be the issue. I'm fairly sure it's because my Ping is too high. Thank you, though.

The problem is definitely from your ISP, I used to have the same problems before when used my old modem to connect to the internet. I am using another one and everything is fine now.
