I was floored to see the Washington Times actually talked about it. In past years, all mainstream media outlets all but refused to even acknowledge the groups' existence!

The population is rapidly getting out of control. We're breeding like crazy, instead of adopting. Would worldwide population control really be that bad?

Half true, Developed countries are reproducing at a rate of about 1.2-1.4 per person which isn't that fast. Its undeveloped countries that are getting out of control but as they develop there population increase will slow.

Not really. If you live a rich life, with relatively low risk and good health. You can have 1 child and feel safe in assuming that he/she will grow up and survive into adulthood.

If you are the opposite and live in poverty in a poor african country, having 8 children in the hopes that at least 1 of them will survive into adulthood is what our natural instincts tell us to do.

In the natures mind;

Survival mode = we need children

Safe mode = I don't want a child - I want to have a child now

Ya but then that would mean that the rate of reproduction has little to no bearing on overall population.

And with scientific advances, you just know that the population will go up and up.
