i think as we can all see the battle dawn forum community and the mods are having a rising conflict and are fighting in the suggestion boxes
lets get this settled here for what the community wants and what the mods can do (note if you are a mod you can join the community side ;) )
i do not want a flaming war here i want things to be resolved here and have everyone understand each others situation better and our 1st problem is clearly dealing with trolls
mods/admins/community what do you prepose to do?

First off, we need a CLEAR definition of a troll, and in what scope are we attempting to deal with them?

(Eg, all the forums, or just suggestions? Voters of no, or spammers? etc etc)

defination of trolls is doing things to hurt the forums (usualy anonamous i know i spelled that wrong but w/e) like they are in the suggestions which is the most commen problem so this is what we will deal with 1st and we will keep this us to see if we can make compramise suggestions here within the mods very dictatorish rule
so start brainstorming for what we can do that the mods will not shut down

perhaps lower the power of the no vote, where just one no vote raises the yes votes needed to 15 automatically.this, in my honest opinion, is too high a jump >_>

LC - What have the admins/mods done so far which can be defined as "power hungry" except shut down a poll which was, I must admit now - a little over the top? These forums are damn lax compared to most others and we let you get away with a little more than you should, Teller has already created a poll which makes the required votes to start a suggestion 13 with no/s and 8 without.. Other than this poll problem I don't see why in the world you would call us dictators, if we were a 'power hungry evil dictatorship' this thread would be non-existent right now. We all had a long debate concerning the community's poll and came to the conclusion that it was over the top so we compromised, a dictatorship would not do this.. Seriously dude, I'm a little hurt by this thread >_>

If you did not intend to create a flame war with this, then why use a title for the thread that seems to create a standoff between staff and community right from the start?

If you think someone is power hungry, bring it to me. Do not come here and create a thread aimed at creating more tension between staff and players than already exists. It is counter productive and will serve no good end.

this 1 on another moderator hate topic

not even close you (ponk) ferr3t and teller are the most respected moderaters in my eyes and arent letting the forums die helplessly like tom wants

it is mainly tom i am directing this to and i am not saying all mods/admins are power hungry but no dought there are some that are and letting problems just stay within this community and that great suggestion you are talking about by teller was rejected by GUESS WHO *drum rolls* TOM

it is Tom mainly that is power hungry but i do think that some of you guys should allow a little more wiggle room for suggestions aimed at helping the community and rejecting a topic when it is 1 vote away from being accepted not cool. and as we both know THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEP EVERY1 HAPPY and Tom also knows this very well
and i made this thread for another purpose so we could discuss what really needs to be done and the headline was just a little attention grabber (marketing trick i learned sorry it probably was a little harsh) but regardless that is not the main reason i made this thread but i want admins mods and community to come here so we can discuss what needs to be done because as we all know the forums are dieng because so many people leave in fustration (like i once had)
SO what should we do about the main problem with people ALWAYS voting no in the suggestion threads with no reason at all and it's always the same amount and i find that to much of a coincidance

I am pretty sure that seeing topics like this does its fair share of running people off.

I will no longer post in this topic. Sorry.
