The weapon is heat overflow.

I'm assuming you got it from an item box? Perhaps you opened it, on your screen you think you got it, but server side you got a different item.

When you put it on your mech the game most likely preforms a check up, realized that you have a different item then what you were supposed to have, and deletes both.
