I can't see any previous topic for this - although I do remember dicussing it with an Admin before (a long time ago), but I think that was through the in world message system, and while the admin at the time did say that this was something that may need to be changed I can't actually remember who it was >.<

Basically we have the option to stop rebelling once a rebellion has been initiated, and under certain circumstances there are a number of tactical reasons and advantages to remaining conquered, and not freeing yourself at the wrong time. Also on occasion the need to relocate your colony can arise - having a nearby outpost is a good way of dodging large missile/dragon attacks, or sometimes it's just a case that a different territory has more to offer.

When you chose to relocate while under conquer it automatically starts a rebellion, if you then try to stop rebelling it tells you that you need 72 control ticks to stop - and since it only takes 24 ticks to rebel, you are left with no choice but to let it complete. I fully understand the 72 control ticks required to initiate, but not so much the requirement to cancel. Especially when relocating resets your control ticks and forces you to rebel at the same time.

If there is a reason that's it's supposed to be this way then it will just remain as something that we have to bear in mind, if on the other hand it's something that could be changed I think it would add to the tactical aspect particularly when you are in need of rebuilding, or coming in late in an era an trying to build up. Being under conquer with no troops in your castle is as good as a permanent sheild, as you have nothing to lose form being attacked except workers when nuked, and if they can be dodged by relocation it gives a good chance to those who are not as powerful as the top players to build up a decent army if they're playing smart

From a realistic point of view, I would say that If you are relocating on your own and not under the wishes of your conqueror then it is a form of rebelling. You are basically moving to another place without permission from your conqueror. I see both pros and cons about your issue. My suggestion would be to try and balance the idea so it isn't abused and then post it in the suggestions and see what other people have to say about it.
