You'll be banned automagically since you'll be two colonies on the same IP. Contact the admin of the world you intend to do this on beforehand and they may be able to make arrangements for you.

Wow we're not that ironfisted Tom  .
If you each have your own account, are not conquering each other and/or doing any kind of suspicious activity where it appears one colony is a slave to the other then you are fine.
We have a lot of family members, roommates and colleagues that play from the same location and what we recommend for the present time is to simply alert the admin on the world where you share a connection with anyone. In some cases we may ask for a picture of all the people playing with their screens showing their game logged in or something but it depends on the admin and your situation as we look into all cases like this individually.
In our newest update going live soon we've greatly improved and expanded the security tools the admins use for investigating suspicious accounts and also added more logging information linked to a whole account as opposed to a specific world and various warning indicators. This will allow us to keep track of those playing on the same IP and once implemented you will only need to notify an admin once of a shared connection situation and we'll make a permanent note on your account.
