I have an OP under attack on E1 tick 799 N:11674 E:38542.

The attack is being launched from a vacationed colony by a player from the colony owners alliance.

Now how can that possibly be justified/legal? Is it a bug or an oversight?

Are the squads attacking you beloing to an ARM member? If so, you have taken ARM's radar after they have launched and as ARM's squads are returning to origin they are attacking your newly aquired radar.

Also, to my knowledge, you can attack vacationed colonies now.

The vacationed player is in the PHI alliance and the team mate planted on his colony to launch at the players outpost. Seems a bit unfair from an outside perspective.

By the way, why are you on Australia without an alliance? With 2 crystals that smell delicious I might add :)

But you can attack a vacationed colony. It is not as though you cannot retaliate. All being in vacation mode does anymore is keep a colony from deleting and show them as slightly transparent.

Whats the difference as being attacked from any other colony?

Yeah you can attack the vacationed colony but what's the purpose other than possibly trapping attacking squads when they return. No income or power gain from conquering a vacationed colony.

Should be a suggestion though as most players do not pay attention to vacation colonies as much so if an alliance plants all squads there it could be a deceiving way of getting passed squads. Not sure if you're able to gate to a vacation colony though that would for sure need to be fixed :/

Nah. You are just thinking on this side because it affected you. If you think on the flipside, and you have one of your best members go on vacation, and they come under attack and you don't have much reaction time when you notice, you will surely thank the stars for the ability to gate in! :D With there being the ability to still attack a vacationed colony, it would not make much sense to weaken the alliance' ability to defend it on a moment's notice.

Simply do not treat a vacationed colony as any less of a threat than any other colony. Simply be a little wiser and don't base your strategy & planning on that colony being inactive. Besides, they can come out of vacation at any moment. That in itself means that you should always treat all colonies as being active, vacation or not.
