is there a rule against letting an alliance member use your account? For example if I couldn't be on at a certain time and needed to do a spy attack or move some units etc? Is it a big no no?

This would be clasified as account sharing which is illegal, and has the same penalty as multi accounts. (Perm ban)

So, in short; don't do it :P
