I'm so new I'm still going through the tutorial! I have reached the stage where I am trying to build an outpost the tutorial says I need 300 metal but when I try to build the outpost it says I need 500!! I can;t go any further.Help!!

You need 500 metal 300 oil a great place to go for help would be the mentor thread.

That's odd.. Had you done spent any resources which you shouldn't have? I recommend that you start over in a new world :)
