A member of AM has asked me to post this on their behalf. I am not affiliated with AM in any way and I am not in any position to reveal the members of AM involved in this incident.

I am very disappointed in the BD staff, somehow our chat log on skype was saved and sent to some people and then passed on to mods/admins from what i understand but it seems the chat logs are being sent around to every person i have added on skype and im pretty sure that mods were invovled in the spreading of it. I thought BD prided itself on professionalism, cause at the moment it seems to be non existent.

Now cause of this, my alliance is being called cheaters, when if anyone has been cheating, I do not know of it and I know the majority of my alliance are innocent and now this is making us look bad. Can you check with the mods and make sure that when they have evidence to report that it only goes to the admin and not the whole world?

I understand that one of the mods that is spreading it is Elric if he will not do his job properly should he not be made redundant?

I am not the only member of my alliance that is being bugged by other players about our so called cheating and it's not nice and we are not happy.

We would like this issue to be taken care of and the professionalism improved otherwise we will no longer continue to support Battle Dawn.

I'm guessing AM shouldn't allow people in their chats that aren't in AM.

Hello. I'm having trouble seeing how you can blame the mod team for this, when 2 members of the mod team is in your alliance; unless you a are pointing the blame at them, which I'm guessing you're not since they are still in the alliance.

So the question is, who leaked it from the chat? Could it be the person who you are accusing of doing it?.. Well no, because he is not in the chat, simple as that. The chat logs had started spreading way before it came to the attention of a mod. So trying to blame a mod who is not even in your chat who couldn't possibly get that information without anyone else sending it to him is just silly.

He have also told a member in your alliance who he got it from, and that person isn't in your alliance chat either. So to say this in a simple way. The leak started before the info had reached any mods, by one of your members to someone who isn't trustworthy, who then spread it on, and then it kept spreading.

So please, before you accuse the mods team or the admins, think it trough.

Hmm, Well if no one was cheating its okay, AM cant get banned for chat logs alone.

I do not think it fair to blame BD Staff for your own demeanor in chats.

Elric vehemently denies leaking these logs, and Ive always had a policy of handling such things privately. What is more, these chat logs seem so widely spread that it would be impossible to tell who really leaked them, so pointing the finger in the direction of Staff seems to me, a ploy meant to downplay the significance of what was said within the chats.

The fact of the matter is that it is commonplace for chat logs to be leaked and posted etc. It happens almost constantly around here, so in the end you are only blaming others for what you yourselves have said within those logs.

No one broke your arm to make you sound shady or like you are cheating. No one forced you to speak about cheating in a way that indicated that you were engaging in such activities. Ive seen the logs, and it seems to me that you all knew full well the implications of what you were saying, and even said something to the effect of "better not say that, there are mods in here..." which is ironic being as from my own investigations I have determined that it was more likely someone who was NOT a moderator which leaked these files.

On top of that, it seems that everyone ganged up on the one mod whom thought that something was wrong with what he was seeing, and that an admin should look into it. Thats not right either, and really makes me take a second look at the people whom jumped down the guy's throat about it.

So, if you are disappointed, it seems to me that you should be more disappointed in yourselves and your behavior, and your lack of scruples whether or not you actually followed through with what was suggested in said chats. Blaming others for your own behavior getting leaked out in such a way only makes you look all the more guilty in the end.

Double post update-

I have spent most of today looking into this issue and running down everything I could find out about it.

You are correct. Professionalism is important to me. Because of this, I have spent hours making sure I know how and why this happened.

Elric was NOT responsible for circulating this, nor were any of my moderators. They were recipients of this chat log just like I was and many of you were. I know who distributed it, as I have talked to this person today. If they wish to expose their self on this matter, that is their own business.

Regarding professionalism, I have handled this situation the way I feel is best. This was handled mostly internally, and my final decisions on all matters regarding moderators was based on how professionally they conducted themselves in the course of todays events.

From now on, if anyone has concerns about staff members, or their goings on in the community, they should come DIRECTLY to me before taking any other action. I will handle issues with my moderators directly, and internally.

Thank you Seth, I knew last night that it wasn't Elric (Sorry Elric) we probably should've updated that and I know who did it, don't know how they got it. The main reason we were annoyed is that personal info was also in that chat, Simmen let me know that the link to our contacts was in the chat, so I had to remove the doc and make the link dead. I hope who ever was in the chat that sent the chat logs feels ashamed for breaking peoples trust.
