I'm in the process of writing a book. It's based off of Linkin Park's song 'The Messenger' from the album 'A Thousand Suns.' If anyone wants to read it, I'll gladly post it as I write. I'll only keep posting if I know it's actually being read.

Prologue
The Siberian Cult had enough. They couldn’t stand the Russian Government any longer. They had to defy them. America had been stealing the oil reserves for too long. Russia wasn’t doing anything. Siberia suffered. America was growing and Siberia was dying out. The time had come to act.
They took 3 years of planning. On Febuary 17, 2042, the time had come to act. They sent word to their spies to jam American and Russian radars. The Cult leader, Micheal Dalton, saluted his officers. “We will die tomorrow, when America realizes what we’ve done. We will not fight. We will not resist. Even in death, we have already won.” These were the last words he said, before he pulled the lever.
The object soared through the air. It left a fiery trail through the need sky. It looked like a simple firework. No one suspected a thing. An hour later, it reached the Atlantic. It had passed the Russian Government’s detection. It continued over the Atlantic. It crossed the American Border. Unknown to the Siberian Cult, It missed Washington D.C. It soared over Virginia. It started to finally curve down. It landed. The Nuke hit a farmhouse in Tennessee.

Kind of. It's mainly about the concept of a single act love being able to overcome the fear of a disaster, such as a worldwide nuke war and changing someone completely. It's just based in a post-apocalyptic dystopian story ;P

Part 1

"Now I am become death, destroyer of worlds."



Chapter 1
I was awoken by a sound in the distance. I rubbed my eyes and painfully got out of bed. My legs felt weak when I stood. I had barely slept in the last week. I took some medicine. I thought it was painkiller, but I took the wrong one. Oh well. Sure gave me some relief. I looked out the window and saw a faint red streak across the winter sky. It slightly illuminated the snowy ground. Damn city folks, I thought. They always have fireworks. Annoyed, I went back to bed. I was just about to fall asleep, when a blinding light shot through the window. I couldn’t look at it. It was like a thousand suns, right outside my house. What the hell was that? The light died down and everything was silent again. I looked outside. The first thing I saw was the red sky. I looked down. The sight knocked the breath out of me. No. I had to be dreaming. A cloud came up from the ground, about 20 miles away. The cloud was on fire. That’s when I saw it. The grass was rippling. The trees were being snapped in half. Suddenly, the roof of my house ripped off and the walls broke into hundreds of pieces. I knew what was about to come. I closed my ears. The sound seemed to rip through the air. I felt a sharp pain in my left ear. When the rumbling passed, I took my hands off my ears. I couldn’t hear anything in my left ear. I looked up. The field my house used to be in was destroyed. A large crack went through the center of the field. I knew the final thing to come would be the radiation. I got up and ran over to my car. It was dented by some debris, but still functional. I got in and started driving west, away from the explosion. Others were running for their lives. The scene around me was horrific. People pushed each other out of the way. I saw a man push a woman and three children out of the way, to get out of his house. He drove away without them. I heard a few gunshots and saw two people fall to the ground. A man with a pistol trampled over the bodies and continued to run. How could he do that? Then I realized that I would have done just the same. I drove faster. I had to get away from that seen. When I got out of the town, I looked back. People were choking on dust. They fell to the ground and died. I drove and saw everything I saw in that town. Destruction and violence was everywhere. Most of all, I saw fear and death. I could see fear in everyone’s eyes. I could see death in their, well, death. I looked back one last time. The town I grew up in burst into flames.
