The latest of many incidents ive seen this year alone. It seems like these things just keep getting crazier and crazier. As though they want to push the limits to see what you will put up with. You decide.TSA Defends 4 Year Old Patdown after girl gives grandma an unauthorized hug.

I lol'd. airport security's stupidity is always good for a laugh.
i don't fully agree with reducing child pat downs since terrorists have been known to use children. if people used common sense there would be no need for this kind of thing. as if anything could've been exchanged with a 4 year old in a brief hug without somebody noticing. get your act together TSA.

Seriously! I mean really, what the hell do you expect a 4 year old to do when you start yanking at her and yelling at her calling her a "suspect"!?
My daughter would flip-her-wig man. She gets shy and hides behind my leg around strangers. I imagine the unauthorized hugs would be abound, and i seriously doubt she is gonna be down for getting groped.
What the hell has the TSA ever successfully prevented?
All I have EVER seen about the TSA is the crap they put innocent people through. Is it worth being terrorized to prevent terrorism? I mean really, if this is all about terror, and the alleged terrorists hated our freedom, does it not seem like they have scored a decisive victory? Anymore, I cannot help but wonder. When I first read 1984 as an adolescent, I certainly never imagined that could actually happen...

First off, America is not in any existential threat. Too much of panic mongering going on.
Terrorists may strike anytime and use any method, yes. But to Patdown 4 year old children, when there are more effective methods of screening is ridiculous. Its not that the security measures are a problem, the problem is with the touching, especially in private parts if I can be blunt, of women and children or even men for that matter. When you see some douchebag touch your kid like that for whatever reason, your natural instinct will be to cut his hand off - so to speak. But you cant. Hence the issue.
I also dont understand why pat down people, when you can use those xray scanners, that actually show you almost naked on their screens. I mean how much can they find out through patting people down.

TSA is a joke. love the random screening isnt random. they shouldnt even hide the fact it isnt random.
i knew a sikh guy who gets pulled over "randomly" EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. even though the of the 911 hijackers. none wore turbans. none had beards.
TSA needs a revamp

Quote: The grandmother of a 4-year-old girl who became hysterical during a security screening at a Kansas airport said Wednesday that the child was forced to undergo a pat-down after hugging her, with security agents yelling and calling the crying girl an uncooperative suspect. I stopped reading after this paragraph. Crazy old woman is just making their jobs harder. If she had just been calm, the girl would have been calm. But instead she caused a huge scene which obviously greatly upset the young girl... The grandmother is as much to blame here as anyone else.

imo. cut TSA down, keep 10% for increased training and what not, to ensure a heightened level of security post 911, but shovel the rest into NASA.

Thorough security is essential, but I think there has to be a balance. Improve screening methods and dont get personal with people by touching them all over. Especially children. Its disgusting.
