The loose end is tied up, and Gaddhafi is gone. Now the "rebels" want their damned money, and are not too happy about being told 'no'. Thats right, as it turns out, those "rebels" whom were fighting for a better Libyan future, were actually mercenaries...At least the ones who were not Al Queda
Tripoli is the middle-eastern equivalent of the O.K. Coral, and what was one of the richest countries with one of the highest standards of living in Africa is now just another 3rd world warzone, plundered of it's wealth and left to it's devices.
This is why I stay with bd because of your topics like this. Who knows what will happen probably more war it's human nature especially in the united states to start wars and when they stop being of use to jump out of them.

Interestingly enough, one would assume that war doesn't lead to good consequences, and therefore you're right, but the history of the US is plagued with war and look where we are now. I mean, not right at this absolute moment, our economy is bad, but we survived the great depression as well. You get what I mean.

The UN is nothing more than a coalition army protecting the interests of the imperial nations such as Britain and America (dont feed me that democracy bs considering the fact that america has dynasty senators and presidents, lets not mention the florida count) they never actually protect the civilians in the long run and whats worse is that their uniform makes them clear cut targets, It is disgusting imo that so many irish soldiers died in darfur with the UN yet what has changed there??Look at Uganda and their recent oil find (they discovered oil reserves equal or greater to the saudai arabia reserves) a day after the oil was discovered all over the news in ireland and the UK at least was how horrible the situation is there and all the child soldiers forced to fight etc and wether the UN should take action but what happened??The Chinese and the west have an unspoken rule which goes like "you can exploit the middle east but we get africa" so the chinese bluntly told the americans that they could not go in to uganda and what happened??Are there UN troops flying there now to save the poor child soldiers??What about the trouble in khazikstan(may be another country south of russia not entirely positive) There was ment to be UN troops sent in to keep the peace due to russia exploiting their oil yet it was stopped and hushed. UN=the UN non moving members of the council and all the other nations there are just for show..........
And thats my rant lol

America wasn't always like this. Believe it or not, we actually had an efficient and fair system at one point.

yes. The UN is under the british and the US(because of US,israel too ) and listens and acts to whatever they say. Best example is - PALESTINE. What has UN been doing ?... and the other example - LIBYA . The US and britian wanted to support the rebels by arming them and carrying out air attacks on tripoli and qaddafi - they only did this because they would get a larger share of oil from libya once the rebels take command. And so they did. They asked the rebels and the rebels promised ,since the US and britian helped against qaddafi.. ..Britian and US were against qaddafis regime cuz qaddafi was an arrogant selfish megalomaniac and wanted all his country resources for libyans only... and what did the UN do?.. they flashed a green light and allowed US and UK to carry out the air attacks and arm the rebels, whereas , for other -much serious cases , the UN remains silent or Ban Ki Moon just shows up and conducts some BS meeting and says he will establish peace...but DOES NOTHING.... so , my point here is.. UN decisions are based on the US and the UK ... and so UN won't create a better tomorrow
