How exactly do you get them to do things now? I'm really embarrased but I built one and just this morning it was exposed, how do you get this to work?

well after you build it just sent it to a colony like a regular squad, and I'm not sure but I think you can use it to defend your colony from other spies. I dont know how the spie battle system works so this is a good question.

I don't know too much but from beta testing I remb that you need to have the spy on your base to add spy protection ticks! More I'll tell when i build it!

Well, I created a second one, and it didn't just die this time. So I guess that's good. It's kinda wierd having it as a squad now.
